Vocational Resource Services (formerly known as Vocational Evaluation Services) has been enabling Americans at work since 1983. As a pioneer in vocational evaluation, founder Dorothy Devereux developed industry-leading systems to evaluate and train those who were forced by circumstance or physical requirements to find new careers. Since those beginnings, VRS has helped thousands to reenter the workforce.

Physicians, insurers, employers, state agencies, counselors, and corporations refer individuals to VRS who need assistance at work or evaluations to determine employment capacity. VRS provides comprehensive evaluations that consider physical and mental capabilities as well as personal attributes in order to find the best methods and equipment for a worker’s optimal performance. The evaluations are performed with compassion, professionalism and objectivity that helps the worker to see their own capabilities. VRS has built a reputation for expertise and reliability.

Using the latest research and technologies, VRS counselors evaluate workers under actual conditions of the workplace. Thus physical requirements such as bending, lifting, sitting or standing are practiced and evaluated on-site. Thorough testing with professional observation provides solid recommendations that support success.

VRS has expanded its role over the years to provide not just evaluation and counseling, but also career development and enabling products.
